Lots of space to bike, walk or rollerskate. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views, have a picnic or get some fresh air.

This is primarily known as a bike path, but it also makes a terrific running trail. It's flat, well marked and almost entirely paved, and follows Lake Champlain, offering beautiful vistas. A gem.

If you're visiting in the summer, there's a daily ferry that takes you from the Burlington bike causeway up to the Champlain Islands where there are more places to camp. Recommend Grand Isle State park. Google: local motion... More

Actually the path is wheel chair accessible at every road crossing its entire length. although the causeway is not paved, all is otherwise.
