I have always been fascinated by Ethan Allen's larger-than-life and often bombastic personality, and so it was reassuring to find a more quiet and centered aspect of this remarkable historic figure in this unassuming home. Even the very descriptions of Allen's life that one finds...More

Our docent was one of the members of the board of directors. Very knowledgable and full of stories to bring Ethan Allen and his era to life. I now want to read the books to learn more ... Well worth the side trip.

Wanted to see it since we were visiting in the area. Our guide was very helpful in explaining the history of the place and about the Allen Brothers. Not a must see place but worth 30 minutes or so

There's not much here but the tours are engaging and there's so much history! There's a dress up area for kids and nice walking trail to the homestead. People were also friendly.

I was last at this site in 2003, but The "RoyVB" assessment above sounds accurate from my recollection. Why not call the attraction and ask?
