I took my nephew camping here when he was four years old. He is now six and always asks when we are headed back. There is hiking, biking, swimming and when we were there, an exhibit on ash beetles was on display. Perfect family weekend spot and a great way to support your local parks!

This is a beautiful walk to the falls. The river is stunning and captures your attention the whole way to the trail to the falls which is a solid 2ish miles in. The hike up the falls trail is a good one. Gets your heart rate up. The falls were well worth the trip. We even got to experience it... More

Really gorgeous park along the water. The trail leading from the park is one of the most picturesque places you may ever visit should you catch it in the right time of the Fall. It's like cheat mode for a photographer with the crazy variety of trees. Well worth the 3 mile hike from the park base up to Hamilton... More

Wonderful and fairly easy 3 miles one way hike to Hamilton Falls. A bonus was the water release made for some great whitewater rafting watching!

Lots of great swimming in the river. Campground is quiet at night. Price for firewood is reasonable. Sites are clean.

Have been going to Jamaica St Park for years. Starting when our kids were 3 and 5. The youngest just graduated college.... So this was our first time there without kids. It was great to remember all the fun times hiking, bouldering and swimming in the various swimming holes that the river provides. Today we were just there for a... More

This is one of the many Vermont parks. This one has a number of picnic tables along a narrow river that flows through the park. It has restroom facilities and spaces for camping. There is also a nice rather flat path along the small river that provides for a relaxing stroll. The picnic tables vary in size, and the amount... More

Take the detour to Hamilton falls...worth the effort! The trail along West River is shady and easy. Beautiful scenery. River sounds are everpresent

This campground is small and the sites have plenty of room.Great playground and swim hole. You can also walk up the trail and swim in different areas in the river. We did the hike to Hamilton Falls. Very worth the climb. The campground is old fashioned and quaint like I remember from my childhood. I lived it and would go again

Nice, very clean VT state campground on West River in town of Jamaica. Traditional campsites and lean-tos (sp?). Very kid friendly with playground and beach on the river. Bike flat rail trail 2.5 miles to Ball dam and take switchback trail to to for great views. Stop on trail and hike one mile up to Hamilton Falls. Great swimming. If... More
