Great place to walk, float, swim, kayak. Peaceful and water is clean. There's a little beach you can walk to to access a sandy spot and put out a chair.

A nice, free state park with a fairly easy trail. I would head out counter-clockwise from the parking lot if you think you won't go all the way around. Nice spot for a picnic and a very cool 200+ year old cemetery on the hill....More

Absolutely. Off season, no one even uses leashes! I now live 5 miles from here!

Honestly, I don't recall seeing people fish there, so I'm not sure. Good luck, and enjoy your time with him!
