We were looking for a place to paddle and found this on a map. While the lake is small, it is lovely, with a number of picnic tables and anice hiking trail around the lake.

We were visiting the area and got the chance to visit the Lowell lake state park. It is a green open natural setting.

We loved this area of VT. Hiked the trail around the lake that is about 3 1/2 miles. Lots of rock scrambles over the creeks which is always fun. There are snowmobile trails that spur off the main trail for those wanting more of an...More

My family used to come to this lake when I was a kid in the late 70's and early 80's, before it was a state park. It was owned by the White family, and they ran it as a family camp. I went back with...More

Great place to walk, float, swim, kayak. Peaceful and water is clean. There's a little beach you can walk to to access a sandy spot and put out a chair.

This lovely lake has been found by many people. That is why I recommend going during the week. We actually saw loons and a heron. We like to kayak along the shore line looking for wildlife. Parking is limited on the weekends but people tend...More

We went to this location twice. Once on a cloudy Thursday, the next time a spectacular sunny following Friday. Difference and use of the lake was dramatic as one would expect and parking became difficult. That being said it is a lovely spot with wonderful...More

A nice, free state park with a fairly easy trail. I would head out counter-clockwise from the parking lot if you think you won't go all the way around. Nice spot for a picnic and a very cool 200+ year old cemetery on the hill....More

There are no cabins now, although they hope to get them back. We were there on a Monday and it was pretty quiet. We accessed the park from Londonderry, not sure if there is access anywhere else. We didn't see any place to... More

Honestly, I don't recall seeing people fish there, so I'm not sure. Good luck, and enjoy your time with him!
