This trail is definitely not easy, but its really not that bad. It does feel a little longer than 3.4 miles to the junction with the AT, but it might just be because its uphill for what feels like forever. Saw some people coming down from the top that hadn't even broken a sweat and I was a little disturbed... More

We came from NH to hike our 51st four thousand foot mountain, even though it was raining we still decided to do it for our wedding anniversary. It was a great hike even though we had no view at the summit thanks to the rain. Very well marked trail, just follow the light blue blazes all the way to the... More

The above the tree line that allows you to see into New Hampshire, New York, and even beyond. The long, strenuous hike is definitely worth the effort to see the breathtaking view of the lakes, valleys, little towns and villages, and summertime view of Killington Ski Resort

This is a great hike! Bring water, bug spray and dress appropriately for the season and you will have an amazing time up here!

Do not go on this hike if you have a problem hiking steep trails! The last 3/10ths is really rock climbing. That being said I am an over 55 year old woman with an 18 and 20 year old who did make it to the top. The reward was panoramic views of the Green Mountains plus the satisfaction of making... More

In my opinion, I find this is the best, most scenic way to go to the top of Killington although it is a longer drive and harder to find off the Wheelerville road rather than at the parking area on US Route 4. The Bucklin trail has limited parking.

My husband and I hiked the Bucklin Trail on an early Sunday morning in September. The weather was around 55 degrees when we started, which was perfect for the 7.8 mile (roundtrip) trail. It took us about 2.5 hours to hike up and 1 hour and 45 minutes to come back down. We stopped several times to take pictures, catch... More
