Been coming to Stowe for years. Love it. Have not skied newer area and generally stick to the Gondola when the weather is cold (and it was wicked cold) on this trip. Come up for the skiing and best ski town in VT.

We’d never been skiing, but my wife and I knew it was something we wanted to try. Our private instructor, Amanda, was the best. She was helpful and patient while we got used to our skis. She offered lots of little nuggets of helpful information...More

We were there just after Christmas when it was exceptionally cold and windy too. Not all of the runs were open due to the above and there were not that many mountain huts to warm up inbetween runs. Getting our ski pass was not easy...More

After 24 hours of biblical rain and warm temps in January near 60 we approached our day of skiing with anxiety! We were peasantry surprised by the solid conditions at Stowe. The trials were tuned up as well as they could have been and the...More

We purchased an Epic 4 day pass as we will be going to Park City in Feb and thought it could be great to ski Stowe for a couple of days over New Year’s weekend beforehand. Don’t be fooled - the Vail system does not...More

Earlier this year , the STOWE mountain Resort was bought by the company that runs the Vail ( among others) resorts. They now have the 18 carat nerve to charge $131.00 for a lift ticket if you walk up to the window on the day...More

The staff at Stowe are all very friendly. They smile, take their time, and seem like genuinely nice folks. However, they move like molasses in the winter time and don't seem to know anything about Stowe. They have too few staff at every ticket counter...More

I've been coming here every year since 2010. Vail Destinations recently purchased the mountain. What!? I think their customer service was so bad that another resort in another STATE had to purchase their mountain. Heather, a manager in the ski area, is a poor excuse...More

Our very first trip to Stowe, VT and when you are paying $435 for a private snowboard lesson, $130 for a lift ticket and $150 for your rental equipment, you would expect better service when you go to get your rental gear counter! No, instead...More

Additional places to visit would be Burlington about 30 minutes away with Lake Champlain and nice views across the lake to New York State. If it's hot, take a Ferry ride or Spirit of Ethan Allen or go to the beach. A popular... More
