We were going back to Johnson City NY from Maine and we decided we'd go via Vermont, so we arrived here just before sunset on a cloudless late October day. A number of people were enjoying the view but sadly the Skyline Restaurant was closed so we missed out on that.

Just a wonderful place to stop for views that never get old. One of the great things about Vermont, in fact all states with mountains, are the views from mountain tops. No matter where you go, the views are wonderful, different, and peaceful. But for this to occur you need help that goes beyond anything you can do or prepare... More

Views are spectacular! No lines during the week. People there are so helpful. Biking and hiking options as well. Great place for families too!

Have stopped here many times on trips through Vermont. The views are amazing. The gift store has all kinds of treats - touristy, kitschy gifts (t-shirts, mugs, etc.), fresh fudge, ice cream and, of course, all things maple. We've never visited the museum but have read good things about it. Make sure you stop in.

It was a beautiful day with a view that was great! I would say we could see 100 miles or more. I would love to come back in the fall and look at this same view with the autumn leaves!

I wouldn't make a special trip to go see this, but if you are driving on Route 9 then it's definitely worth stopping for a nice view.

We traveled over "hogsback Mountain" and through the Molly Stark trails. It appeared to be peak season for fall foliage. Absolutely gorgeous. There are no words to describe the "beauty of God" that we saw.

Not hard to get to, and a great view on a clear day. Right off route 9. Has a gift shop, and a museum also. Try the Vermont maple cream liqueur. Delish.
