The vineyard is well kept and maintained and the owners did not tear down the old mansion ruins. At the time of our visit, the mansion was overgrown, but some of the palatial brick walls still stood.

Went primarily for lunch but enjoyed a drink in the Library and views of the vineyard. Staff in the tasting room very helpful as we were splitting purchasing a case of wine between the Library and Tasting room offerings.

We have been stopping at Barboursville on and off since it opened in 1976. We hadn't been in a couple of years so decided to stop yesterday (5/28). We knew it would be crowded. We did not expect such a "commercialized" experience. Tasting is $7...More
