This was on my wife's 'must-see' list for this vacation. Easy to find. Our guide was excellent with an extensive knowledge of Patrick Henry's life. The house has been nicely preserved with many original and period pieces. Well worth a stop.

Even though Patrick Henry spent 7 years here, a lot went on during his time there. Our tour guide was wonderful and informative- I learned a lot a PH.

We have visited many historic homes on our travels in retirement and this was one of our favorites. It was not a favorite because the house or its contents were particularly remarkable, they were not. It was because of the history lesson and the human...More

This was an excellent tour of the home Patrick Henry lived in when he wrote his "give me liberty or give me death" speech. Our tour guide, Tom, was wonderful. I learned so much about Patrick Henry! Highly recommended!

A very historic home. Patrick Henry rode from this home to Richmond to give his famous "Give me liberty or give me death" speech. There are a few pieces here that are original to Patrick Henry's family, most notably a chair and a cradle. Fabulous...More
