We spent $350 for a mediocre steak dinner downtown the night before, so we were cautious of a tourist trap. The food was delicious! By far the best meal we had in the area. It feels a little pricey for a buffet line, but the fried chicken is outstanding.

Interesting place to see civil wars paraphernalia but the staff is very pushy trying too hard to see items to every person that walks in the door.

we were disappointed with this restaurant. it is a buffet, $18.50 per person, and only 9 items on the buffet. the food was good but not hot. drinks and dessert are not included in the price.

A nice place to stop to have a historical period lunch before your tip to Monticello. Food was decent and experience was nice.

Not La Bernadine but a great place with reasonable and tasty food like your grandmother used to make. Interesting grounds and decor.

Michie Tavern is a historic inn at the foot of Montecello. It is a place with great history, ambiance and food. It also has several other buildings with exhibits great for kids. The chicken is some of the best I have ever had. A must if you are in the area.

Buffet style lunch with limited choices. Fried or baked chicken. Stewed tomatoes. Mashed potatoes and salad. Along with paying extra for a drink. It was good to try to just one time for this type of location. But would not go back again. Not anything to rave about here. The food was okay.

My family and I visited Michie Tavern 05/14/17 for Mothers day. We arrived app. 11:20 am and found the line backed down the steps. Brenda and her crew did an excellent job of getting all the patrons seated very quickly and everything went perfect. Once again the food was great and we highly recommend The Michie Tavern as one of... More

We purchased the Neighborhood Pass that included this attraction, Highland and Monticello. With the price of $40, Michie Tavern was basically free. It was interesting as I had never toured an old tavern and learned a lot of new things. We enjoyed playing the dice game in the parlor. The stores were closed so we only saw the historical building.... More

We love Michie Tavern. The atmosphere and great food. We try to go every time we going close and some times just drive up to go. About 1 1/2 drive but worth it.
