We were staying in Hot Springs and we were guided to this spot right next to the highway leading from Hot Springs, VA to Covington, VA. There is a small parking area, but if it fills up folks just park along the roadside. This Falls...More

This was a beautiful drive to get to the falls and once we arrived, a beautiful view. I would suggest that they work on trimming some of the surrounding trees to open up the view a bit more as the falls are stunning and the...More

This was a quick but beautiful stop. You can't hike to the bottom anymore (fenced off and signs warn that you are being recorded and will be fined). Its a beautiful view but disappointed that i couldn't experience them up-close like I had hoped.

Stumbled across this while we were on a motorcycle trip. Very nice little place to stop and relax for a few minutes while taking some pictures. Would be awesome if there was a way to get to the bottom and actually get under the falls!

It is still a beautiful spot to visit. We went in July 2017. However, yes they have put up a new higher fence around the area and picnic tables. There are signs EVERYWHERE that there are to be NO GOING PAST THE FENCE AT ALL!...More

This is a must see right beside the highway. There is a pull off to park and walk the two or three hundred feet up the path to the best view.

This is a fun site to see. You can view it from the road or choose to ignore the trespassing warnings and barricades and climb down. Either way, an amazing vista.

One of the best spots to spend an afternoon. Pure water and amazing views, however the Park Rangers come every 30 minutes to charge people who go past the fence to enjoy it. The fine is $50 and is a Class 3 misdemeanor.

Thanks you for mentioning that. Trespassers beyond the fencing will receive a summons.

I am a sucker for waterfalls and this was a great one. I deleted one star because it is now technically illegal to hike around the falls. Falling springs creek is absolutely beautiful at the top of the falls.

"Techincally" now no, But everyone from 3 to 65 can be seen swinging a leg over and climbing on down. I haven't seen it being enforced at all. I'd say proceed at your own discretion. 😉
