Same ownership as Carters Mountain Orchard. Not as busy. Same great experience. Hay ride, Apple picking, cider slush, doughnuts, wine, hard cider, gift shop.

We visited Chiles orchard this past weekend and had a thoroughly enjoyable visit. They are not nearly as crowded as Carter Mountain, but they have the same items for sale. We will definitely visit again - hopefully in peach season!

We ended our day's tour here after visiting local wineries. We picked up some Peaches, jellies, and of course their ice cream. Wonderful place to take the kids and pick your own apples in season.

Traveling Route 250 is a beautiful drive, finding the orchard is not difficult if you know the area, being a visitor, pay attention to the signs along the road. The establishment is nice, prices are high on most items. I noticed the price of two donuts was $2.25 and a bushel of peaches was $50. Peaches have a good taste,... More

Chiles and Carter's Mountain orchards are both great places to go pick apples and peaches. Carter's mountain has gotten too busy but Chiles remains fairly 'countryish' although it can get busy during peak seasons. Great supporters of the community and excellent baked goods and ice cream as well as fresh strawberries, peaches, pumpkins and apples depending on the season.

This is a tradition in Crozet. However, in my experience, the peaches are only so-so and you need to pick your own as the ones they offer in the store are always picked too early (IMO). Still, a fun place to go for peach frozen yogurt, strawberries, fudge, etc. Just don't expect great peaches unless you hit it just right... More

We didn't pick our own peaches, but we didn't need to. There were bushels of loose peaches already picked! We treated ourselves to tasty cones of Peach & Vanilla Ice Cream Twists and purchased freshly made cider donuts and peach pie (both delicious)! There were some vintage toys; tee shirts, kitchen gadgets, and homemade assorted fudge for sale, as well.... More

Their peaches are over the top + you can go and pick them yourself, during the season. Lots of yummy jars of things made with peaches, which I am now taking to friends in Nova Scotia. Great gifts + great tasty fruit +

Very pleasant market with orchards surrounding it. Saw young families picking their own vegetables and having a good time. We got a bushel of good looking peaches ($50) and some very tasty peach ice cream. Very pleasant staff. Also picked up a pointer on "teaching kids math---eat half of their ice cream"....
