Loved the wine! I usually don't care for wine and don't speak wine snob but we treked up to this vineyard without knowing what we were about to get into. I was pleasantly surprised at how many different types they had and the flavors. My favorite was the Chardonnay. It was crisp and reminded me of a Niagara I had from... More

I was absolutely sure I was going to die on the drive up the narrow gravel road with no guard rails and sheer sides on the way up to the vineyard. Lucky for me the prospect of trying to turn around was even more terrifying. The tasting room is warm and inviting, but it's the view that is to die... More

Most of the reviews are spot on. Use directions from website which work as very few signs posted and GPS will take you a different route. The ride up the mountain is challenging but doable. Fortunately we did not meet anyone going the opposite direction on our adventure up & down. The views are amazing. The wine tastings is in... More

Gorgeous view and tasty wines this spot is well worth the climb up to about 1700 feet. You won't regret it!

Lovely back-of-beyond setting. You might hear the sad family story if you go. We heard after our visit that it is for sale. Bargain price, though!

We ventured up the hill to this winery late on a Saturday afternoon, around 4:15PM. They close at 5, but they still took their time to give us a great tasting experience and told us to go ahead and enjoy our wine there, even though they were closing soon. We ended buying several bottles and a bag of chips to... More

Be sure to take pictures out on the balcony! They have chairs and tables but they do not have any umbrellas. We found the only shaded spot on the balcony (it's covered by the door). We brought a picnic lunch to eat on the balcony. We enjoyed our tasting and bought several bottles of red wine. They surprisingly still have... More

We mainly chose to visit this winery for the views and it was worth it! There are a lot of twists and turns down some gravel roads to get there. The wines from the tasting were okay but looking miles over the valley from the deck was amazing! Worth a stop if you have time!

If you like adventure and you like wine - particularly Italian wines - this is the vineyard visit for you. Nestled high up in the Blue Ridge, Stone Mountain is unlike any vineyard in Virginia (and I've visited a bunch). It's a small operation with huge heart focused on making high quality wines, and the wines are very good. I... More

We travel to the Shennendoah Valley Area at least twice a year and add a new winery each time we visit. Absolutely loved Stone Mountain! Yes, the drive up the mountain was interesting, but well worth it! Don't plan to go on a motorcycle or a low to the ground sports car, but you do not need 4 wheel drive.... More
