This hour long tour guides you through narrow tunnels and open caverns. Skyline has you yearning to discover what's around the next bend of this lesser formed area. Although as others have stated it was not the grandest of Caverns. But it does offer each...More

If you enjoy caverns; then you will enjoy Skyline Caverns. A must stop along your travels. My wife and I have been in more than two dozen caverns and this one is great.

We have been to several caverns and this is by far the best. The guide was fantastic with a lot of information. This is a do not miss. This is a easy tour. We had an 86 year old lady who had no trouble.

As others have pointed out, these are not the largest nor the most spectacular caves, even in this area. However, the management has taken what they have and presented it to the visitor to maximize the experience. Colored lighting makes otherwise ordinary formations interesting. They...More

My husband and I picked this cavern BECAUSE it is not the best known, biggest, showiest, and all that. We had just arrived in the area and picked Skyline for something to do. The person behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. Sam, our...More

My 1st caverns ever. I liked it a lot. At 53 degrees inside dress warm, despite outside temps at 83! Our guide Sam was ok, sarcastic dry humor, not always as "funny" as he thought. Took great photos, loved the formations.

Many people who have never been in a cave might think it wonderful, but in terms of great caves of the world this is fairly mediocre. If Jenolan Caves in the Blue Mountains, Waitomo in New Zealand and Mammoth in California are five star, this...More

Love it and recommend to anyone with little kids. Even though the cavern is not the most popular, I think it is the most unique and interesting one! Very educational tour (I was with 2 year old). Was very comfortable and pleasant. An Exceptional tour...More

Take a jacket with you because you are up to 250 feet below the surface and it is about 50 degrees down there and the tour lasts an hour. Photos are allowed so take your cell phone. I took lots of great pictures. The guide...More

Sorry for the delay in responding, the caverns are a constant temperature in the fifties, which require a sweater in the summer, but would be perfect for fall and winter. There are a couple of outside activities, that would... More

I just checked for accessible caverns in Virginia. Shenandoah Caverns are handicap accessible. Wheelchair ramp entry and elevator plus handicap parking. Located off 81 near New Market.
