We have visited Horton on several occasions, mostly due to its easy access from other tourist activities in the area. The tasting is reasonably priced, plus there are enough selections to fill both the front and back of a page. Many fruit-based and unique wines...More

For six dollars a piece, we were able to taste 10 wines. There was a nice combination of dry and sweet wine. Several of their wines were fruit: pear, peach, strawberry etc. We received a discount by buying a case.

Building and grounds are attractive but the inside isn't much. $6 gets 10 tastings but there were only a couple of even passable wines. I was tipped off when I saw the long list of fruit wines. Like Boones Farm or something! I didn't like...More

I do not think there are any wineries I did not enjoy! The best, so far, were Horton, Barboursville. The first wine tour we did was the Bedford wine trail (best to do a "wine trail" by regions, as Peter stated above... More
