The park includes hiking trails in the woods but the small collection of barnyard animals is the primary attraction. It is free with a few fee bearing extras like a carousel and hayride. It is also dog friendly.

We bring our kids to this farm whenever we visit with our Herndon relatives because the whole family enjoys walking around and seeing the farm animals up close. The property is just big enough that you can walk and see everything without feeling exhausted afterwards,...More

This is a very good example of the dairy farms which once surrounded Herndon, Virginia And vicinity. The grounds are well taken care of and the park management and crew are very friendly and informative.

Our toddler loved it here. She had a great time seeing the animals and playing on the playground. We ended the trip with a ride on the carousel before we went for lunch. She was exhausted and couldn't stop talking about the baby pigs. Good...More

Frying Pan Farm Park has been a place I have visited many times. They have great walking trails in the woods, events like live music and fairs, and the farm of course. It is the last working farm in Fairfax county. Great for everyone!

We greatly enjoyed the variety of animals- pigs, sheep, turkeys, ducks, peacock, horses, etc. Others might be interested to know about free horse shows and dog shows on the premise too.

A fun and interesting place to go with young children. Lots of farm animals, old farm equipment to view, "hands on" interests for the kids, wagon rides, and an old fashion merry-go-round to ride.

A nearby stream is still called Frying Pan; the small area around it took on the name as well. The origin of the name of the stream is unknown, although it may relate to the copper mining that went on in the area.
