the title says it all. the setting was very nice, the staff were great, but the wines, only 4 of them were just average. but the prices were terribly high, ranging from $26 to $39 a bottle. and the tasting was expensive for 4 wines.

Having grown up in Tidewater ( a long time ago ) it's hard to get my head around the idea that good wines can be made in eastern Virginia but the D and O proves that they can. My husband and I stumbled on it...More

A fun, little vineyard along the coast, The Dog and Oyster won't disappoint. A small shop is on the grounds staffed with knowledgable staff. Give it a try and stay local!

Very cool to see big corkscrews at an entrance. All the wines are dry. Winery does not buy or sell grapes. Unfortunately, I came the day after there were tons and tons of fresh oysters. Wines were not bad.

Wine selection was satisfactory. What made this spot special was the staff-they were informative, casual but professional; they offered many tips about the area. The vineyards and the giant wine openers are well worth the visit altho it is a distance from Williamsburg. History of...More

Great location from the tides inn and hope and glory. Love the dogs that were rescued and protect the grapes. Owner was present and very entertaining.

We stopped here on a cold damp day to kill some time and were pleasantly surprised by a couple of the wines. The staff needs to work on their knowledge and presentation for tastings, but for the most part very acceptable. The best part is...More

Absolutely. The Urbanna Oyster Festival is November 5 and 6. Weather is changeable but usually warm. Our vineyard is usually very busy.
