Morven Park was once the home of Virginia governor, Westmoreland Davis, and his wife Marguerite. More than 70 years after his death, the accomplishments and ideals of Gov. Davis still resonate within the 1,000 acres of this one-of-a-kind place. Each year 150,000 people visit the Park, whether participating in its competitive equestrian events, touring its three museums, attending educational and recreational programs, or just enjoying the beauty of the woodlands, mountainous ridge, historic buildings, and formal gardens. Summer tour hours for Morven Park's three museums are Thursday, Friday,Saturday, and Monday 12p.m.-5p.m. and Sunday 12p.m-5p.m. Starting September 1st, the museums will be open to the public Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 - 5:00, with the last tour starting at 4:00 pm. The historic gardens, Turkey Hill Farm, hiking trails, equestrian center and athletic complex are open every day. Operated by the Westmoreland Davis Memorial Foundation, Morven Park is a non-profit organization, relying on individual donations, memberships, and event income to finance its public programs and preservation of its historic and natural resources.

Beware Morven Park! I and my family (along with many others) had traveled hours to the Leesburg, VA area so my son could participate in a lacrosse tournament at this place. Ostensibly, due to rain the previous day and some mist that morning, the Morven...More

Very large and well maintained public facility. Take the time to walk around, especially up to the mansion. A very lovely place.

We did not have time to take the tour of the imposing mansion but we enjoyed a long walk around the grounds, admiring the well kept (though hardly extensive) gardens, and visiting the equestrian center. I was particularly impressed with the gorgeous trees all over...More

We came here on the last tour that occurred during the week, because during the school year it is closed and is open only for weekends. The small museum about the hunt, hounds & horses was pretty boring, but the mansion tour was very interesting....More

We didn't go inside because it was closed by the time we got there - but the kids loved walking up to it/ watching the fireflies and just walking around. It was definitely worth the visit.

We had a very nice time walking around the grounds of Morven Park and exploring the gardens. We got there before the mansion opened, so we didn't tour it, but there was plenty to see. The gardens were quite nice, and we loved seeing the...More

Yes there's plenty of picnic tables, and benches. After you enter go to the left and you will see a large parking lot. There's tables there. Enjoy!

While enjoying the Park's gardens and grounds, you will find restrooms in the Comfort Station at the end of the main parking lot AND in the Coach House complex (water fountain there as well).
