It takes a bit to walk through the golf course to reach the waterfront, but it is very beautiful and scenic. Perfect for both novice and adventurous hikers as the trails have become a little overgrown in some areas. The trails also naturally split where you can follow along the waterfront or walk the higher trails.

You have to walk through part of the golf course and then through a field to get to the path. You can follow it along the Potomac for quite a way.

Located behind a suburb and a sprawling golf course, this surprising gem takes you far from the madding crowd. I loved the shady trail (perfect on hot days) and the secluded, sandy beach on the Potomac.
