Chefkc's Notes

This has always been a great place to stop and get some fresh fruits and vegetables. They also have specialty homemade Virginia items like jams and jellies.

A lot to do and see especially near Halloween. All comes at an extra price and it can be a very expensive outing. Would suggest to bring your own food and snacks and be prepared to spend 50-100 dollars depending on your family size. Staff is friendly and courteous. Love the mini petting zoo and corn maze.

Went on a Saturday, jammed full of cars on the grass the way the Virginia State Fair used to be, had to go down miles of winding narrow roads the County won't widen even though this place is one of their cash cows, during the daytime was rough, can't imagine at night when they have their Halloween Terror something event.... A pumpkin patch that charges for the hayride. I would have thought that would never happen. Have been to many pumpkin patches all over the state of Virginia; but this is the only one we've ever encountered where you pay for the ride to get to pumpkins you're going to purchase. We all felt lied to by the write ups... More

My family of four went for the pumpkin events on a beautiful autumn day. First- very pricey- $9 per person was the cheapest package we were offered, included a pumpkin and assorted typical activities- hay ride, pig races, sandpile for toddlers, a corn maze and a few farm animals. One of the most irritating points was the slow and at... More

We have lived here for 12 years and the berry farm used to be our favorite place to go. No more. We tried it again this past berry season after saying last fall that we wouldn't go again. Well, $45 and two hours of listening to other people's kids screaming, we left with a basket of small strawberries. I could... More

I feel like it isn't really spring, if I don't get some Chesterfield Berry Farm strawberries! I have gone there for many years, and picked, and have also purchased their "fresh picked" berries, as well, when I just can't get over there with my schedule when the berries are in season. Always a fun place to go to pick your... More
