Miles out of town, not just off Route 11, but worth tracking down. If you go the wrong way you may get to cross an old single lane covered bridge. When they say hand made they are serious. There are two or three employees involved in the entire process. The chips are flavored by hand. The worker spreads a large... More

It was cool to see how they make potato chips. You can learn about their history and try some chips. :) So my review is this is a fun place to visit. My 2 young sons (ages 8 & 11) love to watch shows like "How it's Made" so it was great for them to see a live production line... More

These are my favorite potato chips. Best crunch. Great flavors. Hard to find in my area, so was happy that the factory offers large bags. They have a special bulk bag for a discounted price, you just don't get the chips in their designer bags. And to keep them fresh they recommend you freeze them. Definitely worth the cost. You... It was very interesting to watch the chips being made. They have sample baskets of all the flavors of chips. They have individual large and small bags for sale. They also have sample packs & buckets. Chips are delicious!!

It just looks like a warehouse on the side of the road, as you go into an unsuspecting side door almost unsure if this really is open to the public, you enter a brightly decorated room of chips. There are samples on tables, shirts at the counter, and of course chips to purchase. If you are lucky enough to appear... More

Rt off of Hwy81 is Rt 11 chips. Here you can get a lot of free samples of different chips. The people were very nice as you walked passed you can see the process in person from potatoes coming to cooking to distribution. A nice stop along Rt 11. Sampled " Zuma momma" chips. Very HOT!

My husband and I were staying in McGaheysville for the week and decided to drive to Mt. Jackson to tour and sample Route 11 Potato Chip Factory. The people were so helpful and nice. We gained a better appreciation for what goes into making these potato chips. They taste delicious! We really had fun.

I have visited Route 11 chips many times and even remember it in the old location right on route 11. Now they have gotten very popular. I always see their chips in Cracker Barrel restaurants all over the country. Our last trip it was a slow tourist day for them, so I got to spend a lot of time watching... More

Visiting the factory was informative and entertaining. You get the chance to see how potato chips are made and sample all of the flavors they produce. I especially liked the Mama Zuma's Revenge. Great place to visit if you are in the area.
