The Natural Bridge Zoo Park is and always has been privately owned and has never accepted any sort of federal, state, or local funding. The Natural Bridge Zoo opened its doors to the general public in 1972 and has been growing ever since. The main purpose for Natural Bridge Zoo has always been the propagation and rearing of threatened or endangered species. We try to offer students and the general public the opportunity to learn about the living animals, birds, and reptiles that share the earth with us. Many children have little or no contact with natural living things in their daily lives. While television programs are educational, there is nothing like standing next to a giraffe, getting nuzzled by a llama, hugging a baby dromedary camel, or gazing into the eyes of a huge white tiger to make you feel and appreciate our wonderful world of animals.

Small cages, gravel, bugs, all the animals were so hungry. You can feed most of them but they are so hungry I wonder if they get fed otherwise. the Giraffes were on gravel, no grass or dirt and some were not tall enough to get head over fence but wanted to be fed by us. My daughter had to climb... More

There is animal abuse there. Go on YouTube and paste "What Natural Bridge Zoo Hid from the Public is Horrifying!" and you will see the Humane Society's video show up. Watch it, and it'll change your mind if you ever thought this was a good zoo.

I'm embarrassed to say i almost listened to the reviews that were made online about this zoo...I'm so glad i went with my gut on this because the whole family had a great time! Our two children couldn't stop talking about how tall the giraffes were and the tigers were beautiful, definitely planning a trip to come back this spring!!!

I love seeing animals and I have been here before, but it seems to me the place is really run down. The White Bangle Tiger was great, the bears wouldn't even move, the goats and pigs were okay. All in all the animals seem to be taken care of, but the facilities needed lots of help.

I was in the area, and I had seen the Natural Bridge and the Natural Bridge Caverns. I had time left in the day. I saw this on the way to the others sites so I went in. It may not compare to your big city zoos, but it was still a good place to visit. There are a lot... More

Came to Natural Bridge in the winter season. Many of the attractions close at 4pm. We came to the zoo, since the sign outside said it was open until 6pm. However, we were told they close earlier than 6pm in the off season. Call before you go.

This to me is a great place for the kids to walk around and the parents to show off some animal knowledge. they have an elephant, lots of herbivores, and several birds and lemurs. The large cats are incredible to see as well. I guess the big draw is being able to feed a few of the animal species. I... More

My husband and 3 1-2 year old daughter loved it! Good variety of animals. Got to feed a lot of the animals. Interaction with the parakeets was very amusing. Will visit again and recommend to my friends with kids.

For being a road side zoo it is ok. Only been there one time. The price was a little high but we had a coupon so it was a little more affordable. The kids enjoyed it.
