The trails they offer are in very good shape and well maintained. The smallest loop, which is self guided, is an easy 1 1/4 hour walk and has some great view point. I think this place is definitely worth a visit though I found the...More

Prepare to get hot and to walk plenty. Well worth paying the money to be driven up the mountain to the top where you will have stunning views of the bay once you trek down the crater path. There are fumedores where steam and vapour...More

This is a great way to hike a volcano without killing yourself. We hiked the Maderas Volcano on Ometepe and came back soaked, muddy, and exhausted. However this hike is nothing like that. You drive up to the top of the volcano via a utility...More

We went to Mombacho and did the coffee tour and went up to the cloud forest. Tiger was our guide and he was AWESOME. He was so great with our three kids. Leche was our driver and he also came in the cloud forest with...More

A bit of a wait to see it in the evening but glad I got to see it as I don't know when I will get to see an active volcano again! I would be cautious if you have respiratory issues as it is very...More

We spent a hot Sunday afternoon on the Mombacho volcano and enjoyed every minute of it! Unless you are in fantastic shape, pay the extra and take the transport up and down.... It's like 5km of steep mountain side (mostly cobbled road though) so I...More

We went with Eco Adventure Tours and booked with the Cafe Las Flores which adjoins the hotel Plaza Colon, right on the main square in Granada. Picked up at 8am and this was a threat option to do the 2.5 hour El Tigrillo tour. Quite...More

We took the "medium" difficulty, 3 hour tour. Though the tour is rated medium difficulty, be prepared for a lot of climbing, so wear good hiking shoes. The vistas from different sides of the mountain were beautiful and let you experience the surrounding area and...More

Can this be a self guided hike or are we required to go as part of a tour? We are a family of three with a 7 year old child and prefer to go at our own pace.

You can definitely do it on your own! a tour guide is only required for the 2 longer hikes. You can do the basic 1-2 hour loop on your own.

Hi there! Who did you book the zip-line tour with? We're looking into options, but getting a bit of an internet run-around. Thanks!

You can contact Cafe Las Flores directly to reserve the zip line tour. It is fabulous. We have visited several times and they are very profesional and safety minded. Highly recommended.
I'd like to get to the 1345m summit ie the highest one, farthest East, farthest from the access road. Is this possible? Thanks
