Nicaragua is full of gorgeous unspoiled nature. People who find Mombacho expensive have to consider the consequences of making it too cheap. The preservation and maintenance of such a special place SHOULD come at a price. We booked a tour with Corazon tours (a nonprofit)...More

We drove around Mombacho and found a zip lining spot. The kids (teenagers) loved zip lining down the Volcano. The forest is incredible up there!

Anywhere from an easy 1-mile hike to something more challenging that could take several hours. If you want a longer hike, plan ahead! And remember, if it's 100 degrees at the base, it's still in the 60s or so at the top.

You can definitely do it on your own! a tour guide is only required for the 2 longer hikes. You can do the basic 1-2 hour loop on your own.

You can contact Cafe Las Flores directly to reserve the zip line tour. It is fabulous. We have visited several times and they are very profesional and safety minded. Highly recommended.
