Like other reviews, we were in search of the Virginia Civil War Museum. The signs outside this facility indicate you needed to purchase your ticket here. I asked the woman at the front desk if the “Lost shoes” film was playing, she said they had...More

This place had something for everyone. It starts in colonial America and has many civil war displays. It also has some modern things also. Worth the trip if you are a history fan

This place is chalk full of some very interesting facts about multiple wars through our history. It also plays some music that gets you in the mood for reading :)

There are 3 motels in the area, I'm sure one of them has a late checkout. New market battlefield museum though is under renovations. It may not be open.
