The amazing city park, known as “The Walk”, is situated around the Roman amphitheater, that is often a concert venue during the summer season. La Passeggiata occupies an area of almost 4 hectares between the ancient Roman city and part of the historic centre. The land was originally owned by the bishop and was used for cultivating vegetables. At one time it became French state property, then it was sold to Gandolfo di Genova. It was neglected and in 1846 was bought by the Municipality to be opened to the public. Domenico Giannelli was the engineer who designed the layout of the garden in 1854. Perfect for family, a nice and peaceful sport for family, alone time, jogging, picnic etc. A calm atmosphere for meditation.

We had direct access, through a small gate, into the park from our lovely hotel Bizzoni. We went there in the afternoon, when the last rays of sun were shining through the high trees. In the morning, we saw the joggers of Terni, from our table at the breakfast room.
