Having been in the Navy years ago, this ship is a must see when visiting Norfolk. It is huge. 16 inch guns. A great ship and a great tour. There are very few ships in today's Navy that are as big as this ship. Lot's...More

Some visiting family members wanted to tour the Wisconsin, so we went along since they were our guests. I was expecting to be slightly bored, but I was wrong! The guide happened to be a retired naval office who had been stationed on the Wisconsin...More

This visit was purchased as part of a package with Victory Rover Naval Cruise. The ship was interesting with the large deck guns being the drawing point. However, there was very little to bring history to life as you toured the ship. Very little of...More

This is a very historical area. Going to the Battleship Wisconsin was a great way to spend an afternoon. The museum was also very interesting since we also read about some of the history of the area.

We have been to the Wisconsin a few times, but our last trip to Norfolk proved to be more interesting. As a Navy veteran, I am always interested in seeing other ships. The Wisconsin has been opened a little more to allow visitors see more...More

The ship is just amazing in person it's a very large ship even by today's standards. The guides are all volunteers and many are navy veterans that served on the same class of ships. their knowledge is endless an fascinating to say the least. Plan...More

I love visiting military ships and bases. This ship is small but for sure if you are in the city you should visit it. You need approx 1-2 hours to visit all you have to see.

I served on board in 1990 and on her sister ship the Mighty Mo. A must see if you are there in Norfolk. A real piece of history. These battleships were designed to be a true war machine but if you look at it from...More

We were there with kids 5, 7, 10. We stayed until the kids were exhausted and still didn't see it all. Plenty for kids to do and lots of history for adults.

I am visiting the Battleship Oct 14th. I am doing the self guided tour followed by a cruise on the Rover. Should I wear a jacket or sweater since it's getting cooler? I wasn't sure if a jacket would get in the way if I am in any tight spaces on the ship. Thank you!

I would bring a jacket because you are on the waterfront and in Norfolk the joke is what 5 minutes and the weather will change. Also, you may want a scarf in case the wind is up. There really aren't any tight places that I... More

With military discount I think it was $21.95 per ticket. Well worth it.

The ward room is air conditioned as well as the captains quarters. There are also spaces below deck that have some air/ fans that help to keep it cool.
