I visit every couple of months or so but often alone. I have visited since age 10. It has greatly improved but is totally walkable. My favorite creatures are the meerkat, Cavay, bongo, red panda and any of the baby animals. On hot sunny days...More

It’s been many many years since our last visit. So many wonderful changes & added exhibits. All the horticultural work is so wonderful & adds so much. Than you to all for the hard work & dedication. Staff so friendly & helpful, thanks again.

Visited the zoo with the grandchildren on April 3, 2018. Getting in to the zoo entrance took nearly 20 minutes because of on coming traffic, a short left-turn interval at the light, high traffic volume, and lack of traffic control by the local police and...More

Great trip to the zoo. When we arrive the zoo was booming with people. Spent about and hour and half. The giraffes where a nice sight to see as well as the lion cub.

Who doesn't enjoy time at the zoo? Our family first visited 20+ years ago, before the large entrance and administration building was constructed, then about 10 years ago and recently, March 2018. We have always enjoyed our time there. It's terrific to see the evolution...More

It was a about 60 outside so not a lot of people. Things were very clean. The reptile exhibit is under construction and the "petting zoo" was a little depressing... nothing to see or pet. We spent 3 hours there, walked slow and seen everything......More

We came to check out the zoo and see it for ourselves. Half of it seemed like a desolate abandoned garden and the other half was more like a poorly kept road side zoo. There was a small selection of exotic animals which was nice...More

Maybe one of the smallest zoos that I have ever been to but they are improving. They look to be updating areas. Until that is finished it does not seem worth the value. Even after it is a very small zoo. Would not recommend

Not the biggest zoo in the world nor the zoo with the largest number of represented species, but overall, a well done exhibition of animals in modern, well maintained habitats. Parking was free and we were able to get a 50% entry discount because we...More

As others have said, the zoo is level for the most part. Themed areas have gentle ramps that lead up to view points. It should be totally negotiable. Not sure if the view points are accessed via wheelchair as well, but I... More

Yes, it is wheel chair friendly but there are several areas that have fairly long ramps that may be difficult if not in a motorized chair.
