We visited the Garden on Mother's Day. Seems like we weren't the only one with this idea. Getting in for us about 10:00 was not a problem with maybe a 10 minute wait to get thru the gate and pay. However, when we left about 1:00 PM the line of cars to get in extended waaay down the street. The... More

I am impressed and so are the little cousins when they visit. The theme is seasonal so you see lights arranged in images relating to each season. Oh, there is a huge spider web that you drive under as well. Apples in baskets, sunflowers, tulips, fall leaves and more. Tune into the radio station playing Christmas music to make the... More

Norfolk Botanical Garden is fun for the whole family! Huge variety of vegetation in many beautiful areas. Largest rose garden on the East Coast, so beautiful! Fun area for kids to play and learn. Lots of paths for walking and a bike trail as well. Cute gift shop for that special gardener! A tram and boat provide extra special ways... More

This was a nice place. Had a place for kids to run through water and an area just for them. This was the hotest day that we were there so not a good choice to get all hot and sweaty before boarding a plane. The cafe was very good but costs more than to get into the place. We got... More

Since Trip Advisor reviewers had put this at the top of the list of things to do while in the area, we decided to give it a go finally. We were not disappointed. Getting to it was easy, parking was abundant (it was a slow day they told us), but trying to figure out where to enter was a bit... More

My brother, for my birthday, took me on a sunset kayak tour through the Norfolk Botanical Garden. Kayak Nature Tours. It was awesome! I recommend doing a tour with them. The tour guide was very knowledgeable with local plants, birds etc. Although this is the only photo I took, it was very enjoyable!

This was a perfect Mother's Day trip. The roses were delightfully planted with every imaginable colors.following the map we walked the grounds to different sections of the park, to European sculptures, Japanese gardens, and there are benches to sit and relax. There is a coffee shop for drinks and snacks. A beautiful garden to spend a day

If you are visiting the Norfolk Area, be sure to put the Norfolk Botanical Gardens on your list. Lived here all my life (78yrs) and never really put it on my screen. This year signed up for Tai Chi in the Gardens for 12 weeks/in the package obtained a membership to the gardens. Such a surprise! In all seasons there... More

The Norfolk Botanical Gardens is a great place to visit for not a lot of money. If you like Roses you will not believe the rose garden. Must be 20 acres of more. The place is 100's of acres with trails to all the sites. If you do not want all the walking they have a great tram that takes... More
