Gardens with Tram, boat rides and various garden areas requires a full day to be appreciated. If short on time it's still worth the visit. Spacious, well marked on garden maps and totally beautiful. Don't miss this garden if in the Norfolk area.

A must visit. We went after it rained most of the day and hardly anyone there. The roses were all bloomed and smelled so good. I loved all the different areas and easy to walk about.

I attended my grand daughters birthday party here (and yes, it's an excellent place to host one). While the children enjoyed the splash pads we were able to leisurely take a stroll through the gardens in the close vicinity. It was a beautiful day and...More

What a fantastic place! Everything is so well laid out, nice paved trails, employees are very helpful and plentiful! Wonderful kids area, that coveralls all age groups! Boat rides are even offered for an additional fee, also very nice!

I modeled my garden after Norfolk Botanical Gardens (then called Azalea Gardens) 35 years ago. To say the least, this is an inspirational place. Even now in our golden years, my husband and I enjoy every inch of this beautiful property each Sunday afternoon; it...More

These gardens have been around since the 1930s and are a must see if visiting or living in Norfolk. Azaleas, roses, dogwoods, etc. make for wonderful scenery as you stroll through this Norfolk staple...next to the airport.

Probably best to visit in the spring when most plants are blooming. A lot of walking involved. Great butterfly garden. A great place to visit for half a day if you love flowers, or gardening.

Yes, there is still lots to see even though it's not peak season. Right now the roses are in full bloom, but there's always something wonderful in the gardens, no matter the season. Hope this helps.
