The tour is about 45 minutes, the first half hour is a museum that you walk through self paced and doesn't actually need that much time. The caves are dark and really tough to take good photos of the barrels. They give you two tastes...More

If you know little about port wine then go to this wine cellar. We were given an excellent tour with visuals around the winery before heading to the tasting which occured at long sit down tables. Two nice tastes were included and then we were...More

While in Porto we toured 3 different Port houses and Calem was by far the best tour. Our Portuguese English speaking guide was very friendly and informative. The Ports were exceptional too.

João was our tour guide and he made it alot of fun. Was very knowledgeable about the port but kept things funny and interesting. Honestly thought it would be boring but João made this my favourite tour in Porto! Would highly recommend!!!

Calem Cellars was a good visit for our family, including children ages 10-12. Your admission includes about 30 minutes at the 'museum' which is nice and cool after being in the Porto heat. The museum has some interactive displays and kept the kids' interest for...More

Stunning port wine cellar retrofitted into a tourist experience outlining the making and history of port. The fit-out is awesome. And full marks to this venture for offering the tour in at least four languages from what I could see. Marks are deducted for the...More

You don't need reservations but if you are on a tight schedule it's better to do so!
