It is possible to explore at your own pace with the headphones. The commentary is very thorough and there are many illustrative displays to help capture the imagination. The tasting at the end is great and a well stocked shop too.

We went as a family with children aged 13 and 9. I thought we would have to drag them around but they were delighted with the whole experience: visit of the cellars, audioguide, films and exhibitions and tasting (they had grape juice!). To my surprise, we spent nearly two hours there.

Went for the port wine tour at Taylor's for €12 inclusive of 2 port wine tastings (a dry white and ruby port). Tour was conducted in the form of an audio guide (no physical tour guide) which means you can explore at your own pace. Certainly it was an informative tour with lots of information on the entire process, short... More

We went this wine cellar because is far from the bridge, therefore less people and no need for bookings... The surprise was when we saw it was 12,00Eur for a audioguide tour, comparing with other wine cellar guided tours (for 7/8Euros) I felt it was an impersonal and 'cold' experience. The wine cellar is nice and the paths are well... More

Several years ago, It was very nice place for visit and I recommended it for all of my friends. Unfortunately now, they have changed tour in a bad side, increase price and reduce number of wine for testing.

We went to Taylor's cellar tour because we expected to be less crowded since it is not in the first row near the Duoro. So we didn't book in advance and there were no problems to get in. Actually, you don't have to wait for a prescheduled tour, it is a self-guided tour. It costs 12 euros, which is more... More

The visit was quite boring, they are too focused on Taylor's history and only an audio-guide is available. The views are nice but they were doing some reparations on the terrace when we visited it so we couldn't really enjoy them. The price is too high, we were expecting something better to be honest.
