The beach is quite busy but there is plenty of space to deck down and enjoy the view. There are a few cafés, eateries and take away shops to get drinks, ice creams and snacks.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 October 2023
- Gervase62 contributionsStunning Cala3 minute walk from our apartment in Cala D'or. Cala Gran offers prestine turquoise waters perfect for swimming and splashing. Shallow water safe for kids to swim and play, don't be surprised when you notice fish also enjoying their swim near the shore, spotting fish makes for a fun activity with the kids in their goggles. There are toilets, showers and reasonably priced bars (€2.80 for an iced slush and about €4 for a pint). As it's a narrow Cala the beach can become crowded, we visited in May and managed to secure a spot with our towels each day near the seafront with our kids and belongings in sight. Would not recommend sun beds here as the formation of the cala means from the sunbeds other sunbeds block the view of the sea and with kids better to stay nearer to the water. Water was perfect, excellent weather every day.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 29 May 2024

It is very busy even during the beginning of September with weekends being more busy. You're able to jump from the rocks into the water as it is deep enough too. You can also hire pedalos. There is a cafe and a shop on the beach as well as toilets.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 September 2024

- Olivia GUnited Kingdom79 contributionsBeautiful viewsGreat beach, clean(ish) lots of cigarette butts, which if you have young children they pick up everything they see ! It’s €15.70 for two sun beds and an umbrella, the beds were okay, they could do with an upgrade as they were very worn. There are safes attached to the umbrellas to leave property at. This beach is wheelchair accessible, they have a wheelchair float to go out to sea and a ramp which I think is great as not many beaches have them and we saw it been used. There are a few cafes which have good milkshakes. The toilets are okay, not very clean and no child changing facilities. The showers as you leave the beach drip and don’t really get rid of the sand. There is plenty of space to just sunbath on a towel, it gets very packed at the front so I’d suggest getting there early for a good spot. Although everyone seemed to be sat on each other. If you want a sun bed I would say get there for around 9am, the man you pay will come round throughout the day to pay him.Visited September 2024Travelled with familyWritten 29 September 2024

The beach is just stunning. Shallow little cove with aqua water. Fish nipping at your heels (literally, they can be sharp) it’s just an idyllic place.
I thought surprisingly busy for very late sept-the beach was packed no beds after 1030 and very little sand space either!
Plenty of eateries around or the spa up the hill for snacks.
So, you may wonder why 5*? Totally nothing to do with the beach but those on it. Smokers-come on. It’s disgusting and then you leave your butts in the sand, shame on you and lastly-the over zealous whistle woman. FGS! Every time I would close my eyes she would be blowing the whistle as if her life depended on it. Also don’t feel protected by the fact it’s manned with lifeguards, of the 3 days we visited these young girls barely looked up once, preferring their phones to watching the safety of those in the sea!!!

Super convenient beach, really nice white sand, lifeguard on duty - lots of families and the umbrellas/loungers fill up fast, so get there early (even in the off season). Parking can be found just up the hill a short 10min walk away. Loved that there were restaurants, toilets, etc. for a fun day at the beach.

This beach was just a few minutes walk from our hotel, it was a lovely beach and very big compared to the others.
I went for a swim on my own after a jog and was a little surprised when I felt something in the water nipping my leg, it didn’t hurt but was just a little disconcerting. I had a small scab on my leg which they seemed to be attracted too, it was quite funny really my family found it hilarious and weird in the same amount!
Lots of beds were ‘reserved’ who knew you could do that on a beach. Swimming pools are bad enough for this, it’s as contagious as some viruses!
We visited in August and it was super hot, sometimes unbearable so definitely find shade in the trees, take a tent or like others have said reserve a subbed and parasol.

Just beautiful.
This was paradise. I love being in water and swimming but i get nervous swimming in UK beaches because of jelly fish. The water here was crystal clear. I swam all the way over to my partner who was sitting on the cliffside. I was surrounded by lovely fish. The water (although cold for a second or two) felt like bathwater once in. Sooo refreshing and enjoyed every moment of being on the Balearic sea.
Food, drinks, snacks, ice creams etc all on the beach side. Shop for you to get inflatables, towels etc also.
Rentable sunbeds and parasol with saftety boxes.
pedalo's etc also available.
Lifeguard on site.
Toilets and showers available.
Sand was lovely and soft.
I didn't want to leave.

Beautiful beach and so easy to get too. Be there very early as the seats are snapped up. Trees give shade if needed. One thing tho, the fish bite. Never before have I encountered this. Not just a nibble a bite, leaving a bruise. Quiet honestly it's put me off going in as it's happened a few times.

Some of you may think it's a silly question, but do the small fish bite? I've had some unpleasant excperiences with this in other beaches (all though not in Spain). And is it normal with burning jellyfish?

I am in Mallorca now and on every beach there has been small red jellyfish
