Lovely little town with some quaint shops and restaurants. Visited to go to the market, perfectly safe. Walked to the beach after as only 15 minutes away. If staying in the main town of alcudia it's only €7 for a taxi

The old town in Alcudia is really nice with lots of things to see, especially if you are into architecture We went on market day so it was really busy, but the interesting stalls and walk along the walls kept us entertained

I have a hire car for a day on sat 24th June and am thinking of driving from Cala D'or to Alcudia. I am really into the history and culture of the town. Is there any free parking or recommendations on the best place to park. Will be arriving 09:30. Thanks in advance

There are plenty of car parking spots around the ancient walls of the old town. Please be aware that the Old Town is on the north side of Alcudia. You will not be disappointed with Alcudia Old Town

Are the shops etc open in the evening or is better to walk around during the day?

Normally shops closes at 9pm. Roam around and do the shopping during the day. I suggest, especial on Summer, to avoid roaming around between 1pm to 4pm. You can use this time by having long lunch and some siesta.
