Nice little picturesque village inland which reminded me of Mexican haciendas. Worth a visit ! There is a nice cycling route from El Cotillo to Lajares.

Good vibe about this place. Lots of surfers, artists, hippies and hipsters. Lots of bars and restaurants. Definitely worth a visit. No 8 Guagua bus stops hourly from Corralejo or Cotillo.

Bring some food for the chipmunks! They are tame and will climb in your backpack, if you're not careful.

The Land is very bare, however if you are an explorer like we are, get a hire car and its a must to visit.

Do you mean Lanzarote? If so, there are frequent ferries between the islands. From Lanarkshire, the answer would be the same I guess, just take you a lot longer!

You can also walk but I think it is around 9k, if it's hot I wouldn't advise it to be honest, maybe do it in the evening. We went through Lajares in a dune buggy.
