In this real life History theme park you can experience how people lived in the past ages. Three main periods are represented: Prehistory, The Roman era and the Middle ages. You can visit many truth-based remakes of houses, sanctuaries, but even a real Roman Thermal spa and amphitheater where lots of demonstrations are given like: gladiator fights or predator bird... The park is not so big, it's a kind of museum park. There's enough things to see and experience for young and old, from Prehistory to Middle Ages. Very interesting to see real people dress up and do daily work in tents, cottages, houses, village in old time. I got the feeling back the history time or saw actives in... More

I love this park. It is small but ver well built. We had a birthday party for our daughter there when she turned 10 and they really had fun. Actors are people obviously passionate about history and what they do.Kids have the best of time and really learn something while having fun. Best when the weather is nice, or at... More

Visited Archeon with kids (8 and 11) and found it so real and touchable that you all learn something even if you don't read any of the signs. There's an activity pass but we didn't do it. It was Roman weekend, so we saw jousting and gladiator fights - very cool. Only downside was the restaurant in the Roman village.... More

We visit at least twice every year, it a stress free day out. You see how folks lived throughout the gases in the Netherlands from bronze to middle ages. The activities are always well organized. We loved the gladiator event at the arena and we met the August Legion from the UK who camped there and were educating folks on... More

Great place for kids and for for the parents. Activities and place are very well kept and players do very good job. Well worth 3 or 4 hours. Just note that the gladiator show may be in the afternoon so if you come in the morning don't promise it to the kids...

It is the second tome we visit Archeon. Two years ago we went as a family, but we spent so much time at pre-history, talking to the everyone working there, that we almost had no time to see other parts, so this year we went back, "rushed" through pre-history and spent more time in dark ages and roman peryod. It... More

We discovered online that you can get a reduced rate to enter this museum after 1:30pm. We arrived at about 2pm and had to point this out to the cashier who tried to charge us full price. It is a fascinating place, with lots of recreated buildings and actors milling around. This, and the shows and numerous displays would have... More

Nice theme park, which takes you back in time from the early ages to the time of the Roman empire. Especially the arena fight between gladiators is recomended. During Christmas time, there is an ice-rink for figure skating.
