I loved visiting here when I was young, I took photos, enjoyed the scenery and even the organised activities meeting in the cafe. The fireworks displays every year were always great, the bon fire used to be spectacular but it's shame they now use pallets, however the carnival, the new park and the nature trail are all fantastic. My daughter... More

Thank you for comments. I am glad you have enjoyed visiting the park over many years. The reason that only new pallets are now use for the bonfire is due to environmental health concerns of potential toxic fumes from old wood. However I am sure you agree it is still a good event. Regarding disabled car parking if you have... More

Absolutely fab park loads to do for the kiddies Only issue was the cafe, one of the ladies that works there thinks she's and army corporal barking out orders and talking to customers like rubbish. Hardly anywhere to sit in and eat I think there was 3 tables and one of those reserved for staff. Food order missed and then... More

Lovely bacon sandwich and a cup of tea. Cheap and cheerful. Cafe very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service was quick but no rush for you to leave. Good place for leisurely breakfast.

Great outdoor activities for kids, wide open spaces and wonderful walks with dogs and refreshments and toilets in the park too, making it a family friendly day out.

A little bike ride round a family friendly , cleanish park with so many dogs running round freely only saw a few bits of dog mess dotted round (still to much) left by irrisponsible owners ok for an hour or so

Nice park to visit, good walks but far too many dogs running around, not on a lead. The council should be looking into this and making the park more child friendly.

Thank you for your comments. Regarding dogs running free the park's byelaws do only state that dogs need to be under control, they don't have to be on a lead. However I do hope that you will still continue to enjoy your visits to the park. many thanks More

Marvellous place to visit plenty of room for most sporting activities or just a place to walk around, enjoy a drink in the cafe or better still go on an athletics day and watch the sports events.
