As a southerner the perception of Rochdale is that it's an old industrial town that has seen better days. I stand corrected. We visited Rochdale for a family gatheting at the town hall and left very impressed. This is a fine building with a lot of history. Recommended to visit when in the area

Mrs W & I were feeling a little perish after a mad dash into the bank. At Mrs W's suggestion we made our way down town and into the Town Hall which was being used as a film set once again. Peaky Blinders was being filmed there we found out later. The restaurant is absolute fantastic. Clean, fresh, welcoming and... More

Being a Yorkshireman I don't visit Lancashire very often! Rochdale Town Hall is well worth making an exception for. Stunning building, unbeatable stained glass, main hall (set out for a wedding on my visit) rivals anything I have seen anywhere. Well done Rochdale. Then there are the Civic Gardens and War Memorial opposite. They are worth another 5* review in... More

Visited the town hall for the recent wedding show. It is such a beautiful building both inside and out and now I wish I had looked here before booking my wedding elsewhere. The stairs are breathtaking and would be a beautiful back drop for a wedding.

Built in the times when money seemed to have no object a small fortune was lavished on building this architectural delight . Still in use as a Town Hall today and plenty of parking nearby

If you visit Rochdale Town Hall you will see why it has been used by TV crew's as a double for Parliament. It is a great building with many great features. The main hall is very majestic. Wonderful stained glass windows and stenciled walls. The best is that it is a working building but can also be hired for events.... More

We have attended this restaurant since its opening and have never failed to be satisfied. Once again we heard nothing but praise from other diners the food is excellent and reasonably priced and the staff are attentive without being servile. The tables are well spaced and so no feeling of being crowded. My duck salad starter was superb.

Rochdale town hall is well worth a visit from a historic point if view and also a architect point the halls are magnificent and you will appreiciate why Mr Hitler gave orders that it had not to be bombed as after the war he allegedly wanted to take it down brick by brick and take it to Germany
