Pinot noir lovers should make sure Etude is on their itinerary. Pinot noir from some of the best vineyards gently crafted capture the essence of the source: Sonoma Coast, Santa Barbara, even Willamette Valley! I'm in Pinot heaven. They of course make other delicious wines too. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, beautiful tasting room and patio. I'm sure to return soon... More

Just a 5-10 minute drive from downtown Napa. Lovely tasting room and patio. We had a leisurely tasting of some REALLY good wines with two very knowledgeable and generous servers at 10:00 in the morning (too early for red wine?) without an appointment. I think we ordered the $20 tasting, but the servers generously poured us wines from both the... More

Etude is a very good winery on the south end of Napa valley. The setting is nice and they have some lovely wines. The heirloom Pinot and the Rutherford cab were standouts. Nice whites as well. Angel was very welcoming and a great host. Glad we stopped in there.

I've done two tastings at Etude. One in a private room with one of their wine educators and the other outside on the patio under an umreblla and the Napa Valley sunshine, both times ... it was a fabulous experience. They make some great pinot noirs and the staff is all very friendly. The grounds are beautiful and the inside... More

We stopped by this winery as it was on a pass that included complementary tastings and we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and was a pleasure to chat with. He recommended some other wineries and restaurants which we appreciated. Our favorite wine was their Cabernet Sauvignon!

My wife and I went up to Sonoma to do a couple days of Pinot tasting. I was excited to visit Etude for the first time as their Pinot's have been highly regarded. Unfortunately I did not have a great experience. They had only 1 tasting menu of 5 wines which included only two of their most expensive Pinot's. I... More

This winerys tasting room gets busy late in the day probably due to it's location. It's one of the first winerys you come to on you way from Napa to Sonoma. Like most they offer some great wine that don't leave the valley.

Topped off a visit with a great session at Etude. Susan did a great job going deep into the unique qualities of Pinot, the impact of terrain on the grape and we sampled estate wines from their five growing regions and each of the wines was so distinct. Hard to imagine the same grape with so many taste characteristics.

This was our first stop on our recent trip to Napa and one of our favorites. Richard did a fabulous job explaining the wines and getting to know our tastes and recommending accordingly.

Etude was the third and last vineyard we visited in Napa this past Saturday. The vineyard was quite crowded with visitors. We sat outside but had to pick up our own tastings, which surprisingly did not detract from our experience. The grounds are lovely, and the wines were probably the best (and expensive) that we tasted in Napa.
