Just over 2 hour drive one way. Watch for kangaroos on the road especially at dawn and dusk. Early sailors to Australia mistook these formations a a city. One can drive through the pinnacles on a dirt road and yes, you can get out to get a closer look. Bring along some water and be prepared for flys darting for... More

Really amazing. Long drive from Perth, but have never seen anything like this before. Can drive around, with places to stop for photos. Can get really close.

Absolutely loved coming here back in August last year, we were the first vehicle in for the day and it has rained the night before! Was very cool driving through the park on the designated sand path and there was no other tracks! We saw a few people walking through the park and they seemed to be enjoying it! I... More

This is such a unique park and experience! You drive around in your vehicle out in these sand filled roads with these large limestone pillars all around. There are several places to pull over and get out and walk up to the pillars to take pictures. Truly a unique experience!

It is a long drive from Perth but visiting The Pinnacles is worth the time spending coming over here. Beautiful formation of carst stones carved by nature, thousands of them in a desert area of Nambung National Park. Really enjoyed my visit here and don't forget to visit the Museum and Gift Shop also.

On our last trip to Cervantes we stopped in at the Pinnacles having been advised that it was a "sight to see" in the area Whilst I recognise that these formations are special, our family were not overly impressed by the place Admittedly we travelled here in the early afternoon and I have a feeling that seeing the rock formations... We lived in Perth for many years before we ever visited the Pinicals. It used to be such a long drive from Perth, that was before the ocean drive was opened. I used to think to myself, why drive all that way to see some rocks sticking up out of the sand. Anyway, when we eventually did go to see... More

I've lived in Perth for 7 years and this is the first time I have been to the Pinnacles. I was amazed at how close they were to Perth - about a 2 hour drive and delighted with what we saw. It is an extremely well set up place with a 4 km one-way loop drive around the desert with... More

The Pinnacles is a fascinating place to visit, but you must be prepared that the unique rock structures are actually a lot smaller than depicted in Tourist Brochure photos. So, you won't see giant structures, just ones (with some exceptions) mostly around your own height and less. It is still incredible that you can walk amongst them and decide on... More

We've traveled extensively and have never seen any natural formation like these. We'd recommend the very well marked 4 km loop drive, as it takes you right amount the pinnacles, providing you with close-up and and more distant panoramic views of the pinnacles with the sand dunes and the sea on the horizon. Afterwards the discovery center is also a... More
