I take overseas visitors here and generally they find the site interesting. You a guide to understand the buildings. The museum part that the entrance is great. Plus the medical plants section but again need a guide.

A great place to stop for a bit of culture. An insight into Mauri culture and a historical lesson. Allow 30 minutes as it is small and for anyone unsteady on their feet be careful as it's a little uneven.

Promised so much, delivered so little. If I was a New Zealander I would be embarrassed. The village needs to be repaired, the native plants need some love and attention. It is unfortunate as the location and surrounding historical buildings and Pa are quite good.
Disappointed. $10 per adult entry fee. Replica huts were tired and some falling apart. Definitely needs an upgrade. Garden was overgrown which made some smaller items difficult to see. Wouldn't recommed paying the money. Took only 10 minutes to view.
