My husband who is a sports junkie wanted to see this museum while we were in town for a wedding. The museum was laid out very nicely and we particularly liked the college section since our son attended one of the schools. However there was some serious mistakes in the museum and we pointed them out on our way out.... More

The kids loved the second floor of the museum. Up here, one can test ones jumping skills, reaction skills, pitch softballs and baseballs to see how fast you can pitch, kick soccer balls into the goal obstructed by props in the shape of men, throw footballs through accuracy targets, play basketball in a small gym area with 3 hoops at... As a fan of sports, I felt like I was living the events depicted with various pieces of memorabilia all over again....and it was as much fun the second time around. That said, it is a very nice tribute to the many athletes Virginia has produced across the gamut of sports, but a bit pricey as I left thinking, "...is... More

Great place for those to go who don't know much about Virginia sports and some of the greats from Virginia. The layout is pretty nice and easy to navigate. They also have a few sporting activities to participate in like the basketball court, baseball throw, and football throw area to name a few. A great place to go for museum... More

I am not really into sports, but still enjoyed the exhibits. I especially enjoyed the Olympic section and the race car simulators.

When the grandchildren came to visit this is one of the first places that I took them to. The facility is laid out for each age group to see and participate in. You are guaranteed to get a good workout trying to keep up with the grandchildren along with everyone getting a history lesson along the way. I highly recommend... More

I don't understand why this museum isn't in Richmond, but I'm grateful that it's not. I was surprised at the diversity of sports represented and how many athletes came from Virginia. I'm looking forward to my nephews coming to visit to test out their skills.
