The museum is well done. There are Several historic watercraft at their dock, all well maintained. Their boat shop is open and their volunteers are friendly, knowledgeable and cheerfully talk about their projects. In the museum, the models and fishing displays are all superb. Fishermen’s...More

REturned this year for the 6th time. Love the museum and its exhibits. It's so accessible and informative. The gift shop is small but the choices are nice. Would recommend as a "must see" if you are in the area.

I was just checking to see what was in the town. I came upon this museum. It looked very small, but I took a look anyway. It was much more. There is much here.

Nice place. We visited during an event and will be returning when things are less hectic. Looks like there is a lot to see and spend some time learning of the history of the area.

We recently stopped in to the RFM as we were visiting the Northern Neck. This small museum is well appointed with wonderful historical artifacts, photographs and dioramas of the commercial fishing industry especially that surrounding Menhaden. There is a nice gift shop complete with cookbooks,...More
