While visiting my daughter recently in Roanoke, we stopped in to thoroughly check this place out! I couldn't believe all the cool things you can find here! Got to snap a photo of THE black dog. LOL

I'm from Florida and I have seen my fair share of authentic surf shops turn tourist trap, think RonJons. Looks like that happened here. They even set up a big screen TV to show their episodes to justify the price hikes.

Huge building filled to the brim with very unusual items. Doors, stained glass, outdoor statuary, door knobs, etc. Very well arranged. Plan to spend several hours here if you want to see it all.

If you’re looking for it, it’s here! We popped in to see what the salvage business is all about...so much to look at, before we knew it we were there for 1 1/2 hours!

If you are in the area and into DIY it’s worth stopping in. Some pretty cool stuff. If you can use your imagination you could do some really cool things.

Black Dog advertises and I was excited to visit. Went with an out-of town guest who saw the store on television. But it difficult to find and very expensive !!

The one thing that you will find is items that you can't find anywhere else. Most of it is not made anymore and if it was you would have to pay a premium price for it. It is very interesting to walk through and browse....More
