A great place to take a quiet and scenic walk. Lots of history with info signs throughout the trails. There’s a small rock quarry where stone was taken to build the White House and other historical buildings.

Its a nice little walk with interesting history. But there isn’t anything too special about it. It’s kept in good condition.

We took the grandchildren to Government Island to walk in the woods and see nature. There are plenty of trails to walk and all kinds of wildlife. A great place to see animals, read postings on the history of the island, and enjoy the outdoors.

We go here when were looking for a fairly quick outing. Beautiful historical place to take a quick hike, it's animal friendly and I see some folks fishing. Great place to also find Stafford Rocks! Could take about an hour to get through. Have fun!
