This is a great aquarium. Not only are their displays of ocean creatures, but also reptiles (including huge komodo dragons), birds, and even otters (my favorite). The Galapagos 3D movie was fun as well. I spent the better part of a day here. It was very easy to get to the aquarium from the bus line, as I chose not... More

Great variety of fish and mammals, wonderful walkway around a salt marsh where you can see birds and other wildlife. They also have elevated fitness course that both children and adults can do.

I would definitely pay to come back it was great. We were there about 3 hours and I could have stayed longer. My kids 3 and 6 loved it.

Lots to see and do, especially with children. The science exhibits change frequently and the movies are exceptional. The outside walkways are a real adventure looking at all the small wildlife crawling below and in the waterways. Also a great place to launch a kayak for some local fishing (license required).

My family and I have been members of the aquarium for several years, and I highly recommend it for families with young children. The only negative comment I can make is the special exhibits that are brought in remain in the aquarium far too long. Over time, things get broken and it's frustrating for the children when they cannot participate... More

The aquarium is a awesome place to visit. There are many things to do and you can spend more then 1 day there. There also an Adventure Park which has zip lines. It will wear you out.

This will definitely be a highlight to your Virginia Beach visit. The staff is wonderful and there is a ton of interactive and interesting exhibits for your child to do. Though it may be too hot to go outside, try, it's worth a little bit of sweat equity!

Lots to see in a very manageable site. The outdoor adventure course looks to be a blast for older kids and adults.

We came here on a cold, dreary Sunday for something interesting to do. Don't expect the grandeur of the Baltimore aquarium, for example, but the displays here, spread between two separate, modest buildings, are quite varied and well done. The focus is on the Chesapeake Bay, as it should be, and the creatures that live in it. Teenage docents can... More
