Went once more to this great museum. They had a model train presentation in the Navy section. Great, got to talk model train shop with some of the train buffs. Santa flew in - arriving in a biplane. The museum has expanded. Due to my wife's recent knee injury we weren't able to see the new buildings. Is one of... More

While we were in town for a short visit, I wanted to take my boyfriend (who is a WWII aircraft nut) out to the museum. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on our self guided tour. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. Would love to come back for the spring air show (the weekend before Memorial Day).

One of the most remarkable collections of military aircraft I have ever seen. The docents are remarkable also. Their knowledge is never ending. This is a must see attraction when in the Virginia Beach area.

Incredible collection of vintage military planes organized very well into categories such as Navy Army WWI & WWII. The museum is manned by very knowledgeable volunteers, most of whom are Veterans. Tom Culprit, and Don Johnston were excellent. They made the books both my husband and I have recently read (Bill O'Reilly series), come to life. What a great way... More

We had a few hours to spend before our flight left Virginia Beach, and someone recommended this museum. Always interested in history, we decided to give it a chance, and we were not disappointed. Such a cool experience!! Our tour guide, Bob, was fantastic, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, and everyone else, especially Fred, was so kind and happy to be there.... More

We went to see the metal dinosaur exhibit at the entrance to the park, and just stopped in to look at (what we thought would be) old airplane models. Boy, was I wrong! This is the most amazing collection of WWI & WWII aircraft I've ever seen! And they are all operational! It's a private collection with astonishing attention to... More

We found this place by chance and we were floored by the collection This is a private collection and it's amazing. The staff are very thorough in answering questions regarding this. This is done as a tour group so there is always a guide with you. Well worth the trip. A MUST SEE!!!!!

I have been to the museum many times, and never grow tired of seeing these amazing pieces of history. You can walk right up and touch each plane, and often one or more will be out flying while you are there. They have many shows during the year, when many planes will fly at the same time, along with other... More
