A group of us (8 peeps) shared a house over a long weekend and couldn't have enjoyed the area more. It was far less crowded than Va. Beach boardwalk with plenty of commerce nearby. Although a bit cool, we took several walks on the beach...More

We didn't see anything that stood about this area but then it is the off season. Since it was cold and windy we didn't walk the beach but just drove the beach road and saw a lot of lonely looking houses. I'm sure the place...More

This has been my family's beach spot since we moved in 2012. It's perfect, secluded and spread out. It's a nice change from the busy crowded Oceanfront. Yes it does draw crowds but theres always ample parking and you are able to spread out comfortably....More

We went to Sandbridge one Friday afternoon in late September. It was a distinct change from the boardwalk area of Virginia Beach. At Sandbridge you walk through a dune area to get a no frills beach. There are no snack stands or souvenir shops, though...More

In the summer months it can get crowded and difficult to park. I suggest doing during the fall or spring.

Sandbrige is less touristy than Virginia Beach and Chicks beach. The drive out is nice with all the farms and roadside markets to stop and pick up local produce. You are close to Back bay so if you really want to get away from it...More

The place is not crowded like the boardwalk location. There are some restaurants nearby. If you do not like crowded beach, this place is yours to enjoy.

My granddaughters are always looking for sea shells. The more northern beaches have hardly any and were told maybe Sandbridge Beach would have some. We walked along and found a few. My granddaughter saw what she thought was a conch shell mostly buried in the...More
