The visitors center serves the Colonial Williamsburg area and provides information for how and why to navigate the area. Free parking and shuttles to old town and very nice gift shop. Very informative people to make your visit easier.

This place is really helpful. I highly recommend you going here before moving on with your tours in Williamsburg. I also think you should buy your tickets here instead of online. Especially if you are military. I don’t know what the discount is, but there...More

Traveled to Virginia/DC to take my teen daughter. Was hoping for the same experience that I had years prior. What a let down and miserable time! About 5 years ago, Williamsburg was indeed like walking back in time; the actors were in complete character, you...More

This area is well laid out, from ticketing to parking . They manage everyone rather well. We got year passes and thoroughly enjoy our time. They have shuttle services, handicap accessible areas, and clean bathrooms.

There are plenty of parking areas but some do not accommodate an RV. Driving (RV and or car) is limited inside the area but can be done around the site just as tour buses and such go.

I ghave no idea on golf courses you would have to google them. As to best time of year I would say March to get less people and by end of May to get good weather with still fewer crowds. Week days are always quieter.
