I enjoyed the tour of the home, it’s out buildings, and garden. Interpreter was excellent. Building was excellent. Children and adults have much to be awed by. Nice interactive moments and even some period music. Many questions were fielded.

The front hall alone is worth entry into the building. Our guide was extremely informative. No wait, no crowds this time of year, though I can't imagine a summer weekend!

I too have not heard of a private tour but encourage you to ask. I would think there are others who'd appreciate this service.
