Informative and affordable. We enjoyed the intro film, informative displays, and outside gun firings.. Great for families and near the Yorktown beach. Safe. Modern.

We have been here probably a half dozen times over our 32 year marriage. We went there on our honeymoon and stayed in a colonial house on the grounds of the Williamsburg Inn. But we haven't been back in ages. Everything is so relaxed there...More

My wife and I both visited when we were in grade school. We took our kids when they were young. We just revisited again after our youngest went to college. Still the same wonderful experience.

My fiance and I love coming to the national historic park. We bought year passes to better explore the area. We have already come three different times this year. Absolutely love it.

We rushed to an excellent ranger walk / talk near the cemetary, looking at the seige lines and seeing the cannon placement. Great explanation of why the British had to surrender. Then back to visitor center for the excellent orientation film. We love our nation's...More

My first visit was in 1985 and we have been back about 4 times since today. The last visit was 5 years ago, and I can tell you that this year was especially noteworthy. The addition of the African American experience has created such depth...More

There is the primary building with an introductory film - I recommend that. There are alos exhibits like a museum, which I also enjoy. I found the docks with the replica of the Susan Constant fascinating; the people that were on the original must have...More

This park encompasses Yorktown Battlefield, Jamestowne Historic Site, and Civil War history! The town of Yorktown dates back to the 1600s, Plan to spend multiple days here if possible or at least one very very long day.

They've done a great job recreating the villiage. The highlight are the three ship reproducations. Tour guides are fantastic--the museum is a hidden gem.

Colonial Williamsburg is NOT (repeat NOT) part of the NPS. They might offer a senior discount (check their website, it is not difficult to find) but the NPS senior pass is NO good at Williamsburg.

It's not super walker friendly, but it does tend towards flat areas in these locales. The road itself is flat and better than the sidewalks, which are not as even and at times fairly crowded.
