This little known battlefield is worth a look. The town of Winchester changed hands from north to south over 40 times during the Civil War and Kernstown was right in the middle of the action. It's worth tying into your tour of regional battlefields.

Thank you for a wonderful experience at Kernstown Battlefield this afternoon. My husband and I were taken on a tour where we learned a great deal about the surrounding area. Everyone was tremendous and we plan to return again.
